These were fitted to a balanced and blue printed engine that Ray Cutchie built for me in the late 80s. They were removed before the engine was finished as I decided to go big bore. In some cases, we recommend using the ARP custom age bolts available from us. This increases the hp threshold to 250hp per cylinder and raises the RPM limit to 9,000 however as every engine is different, these numbers are not guaranteed for every configuration. Prolonged high RPM’s for drifting, or sudden bursts of torque for drag racing (as two examples) will warrant the use of the custom age bolts to help retain the clamping force between the big end cap and the connecting rod. H-Beam and I-Beam section connecting rods are forged from AISI 4340 (En24) steel. Heat treated to HRC 35-38 and then shot peened for a higher fatigue strength. Small ends are bushed for a fully floating pin and big ends are fitted with high quality ARP fasteners with different specification bolts available depending on the level of performance required. FORD OHC PINTO 5/8BSP OIL COOLER FITTING KIT. Engines With Metal Spin On Oil Filters Only. Escort Mk1 1.6/2.0 (OHC Pinto). Escort Mk2 1.6/2.0 (OHC Pinto). Capri 2.8i / Cosworth V6. Not suitable for paper element/cartridge oil filters. FITTING KIT ONLY (NO OIL COOLER INCLUDED) – COMPATIBLE WITH 5/8BSP MOCAL COOLERS ONLY. OIL COOLERS AVAILABLE – PLEASE SEE OUR SHOP ITEMS. Oil filter sandwich plate. Black 5/8 ID high temperature/pressure oil hose. 2x 5/8bsp sandwich plate male/male adaptors. 2x 5/8bsp straight unions. 2x 5/8bsp 90° unions. In very cold/wet weather over cooling of the oil can be avoided by the addition of a thermostat built into the sandwich plate. Or the sandwich plate can be supplied with one 1/8nptf gauge port. The hose & fittings supplied is designed for self assembly. Once assembled the hoses have a smart/professional appearance. This innovative solution is only achieved by using hose & fittings specially designed for the purpose, therefore is it paramount that the correct Mocal (red band) fittings are used. It is reassuringly hard to fit the fittings to the hose: Dip the hose end in hot water, hold the fitting in a vice, apply WD40 (or similar) to the fitting & hose. Push the hose over the fitting in one quick action before it cools. Once assembled correctly the hose will have to be cut to remove the fitting. Hose clips need to be fitted in between the barbs of the fittings. The kit can be supplied with an extra 1 or 2 meters of hose. An amended invoice will then be sent. Designed for Motorsport use. This 4-Branch manifold is designed to suit Escort’s built in the period up to 1975 fitted with either the 1.6 or 2.0 (OHC)’Pinto’ engine. For this 4-branch manifold to be suitable, the Escort also needs to be fitted with an exhaust system with a 2 bore. The four primary tubes are manufactured from 38mm diameter tubing and the two secondary pipes are 45mm diameter. The manifold is manufactured from aluminised mild-steel. Sportex are now making these manifolds on state of the art CNC bending machines so you can be sure of a perfect fit! Ideal for’Fast-road’ or club-competition. This is a new genuine Weber 32/36 DGV 5A carburettor, part number 22680.005 It is factory supplied & jetted to suit the Ford 2.0 OHC Pinto engine replacing the original fitment autochoke DGAV. A dedicated 5mm base gasket block included which should be fitted dry without sealants. If you have a standard fuel return to tank & continue to use the mechanical pump a T piece with restrictor must be fitted in line & the return pipe connected to the restrictor. Settings as follows: Chokes 26/27 (fixed), main jets 140/140, air jets 165/160, idle jets 60/50, emulsion tubes f50/f50, pump jet 50, needle valve 200. Choke cable with bracket. 5mm base gasket block. 1metre petrol pipe with clips.
